Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Fonzi, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on getfonzi.org (the "Service"). The Service is an AI-powered engineering recruiting platform; cookies help us keep you signed in, remember your role preferences, and understand how hiring managers and engineers use the platform so we can improve the matching experience. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize your device, maintain your session, store preferences, and measure usage. We also use related technologies such as local storage to persist items like cookie-banner dismissal state.
3. How We Use Cookies
| Category | Examples on getfonzi.org | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Login session token, CSRF protection token, cookie-banner dismissal state | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | Account role (hiring manager / engineer), saved role filters, last-viewed shortlist state | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Page-view counts and funnel step tracking (anonymised); self-hosted or provider-anonymised only | Up to 13 months |
| Marketing | Not currently used | -- |
4. Notice and Choice
We operate a notice-only consent model consistent with our New York, United States base. Cookies in the strictly-necessary and preferences categories are required to operate the Service; analytics cookies are enabled by default but you may opt out at any time using the cookie banner or by configuring your browser. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or behavioral targeting.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
Where applicable state law requires (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon), we honor browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising categories. Because we do not sell personal information or engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, receipt of a GPC signal suppresses analytics initialization as a precaution.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third-party service providers acting on our behalf, such as our analytics provider. We have data-processing agreements with such providers that limit their use of data to operating the Service on our behalf. We do not permit third-party advertising networks to set cookies through getfonzi.org.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use the cookie banner on the Service to opt out of analytics cookies. You can reopen cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in our footer.
- Browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies; see aboutcookies.org for browser-specific instructions. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to your Fonzi account.
8. Changes and Contact
